The Ghanaian, popularly referred to as “Game Boy” (26-1, 13 KO’s), was there with his entourage to exhibit the title belt at stake and to ask for the traditional rulers’ support and prayers to conquer his opponent.

The two will be battling for the vacant IBO lightweight belt on November 25 at the newly-constructed boxing gymnasium at Bukom in Accra.

At Bukom, his place of birth, libation was poured by the traditional leaders to call on the gods to lead the current WBA International lightweight title holder to triumph in the bout.

Subsequently, the boxer who was led by the management of BabyJet Promotions, called on Numo Ogbaame III at the Royal Palace, who also poured liberation and prayed for the success of the Ghanaian boxer.

The boxer was then accompanied to Numo Ayittey Kobla III WE, where another prayer was offered and libation poured on his behalf to the gods to safeguard and honour him.

His final point of call was at the Numo Akwaa Mensah III royal household, where a similar ritual was performed on his behalf.

The boxer later promised to kayo his opponent,  Fernando David “El Vasco” Saucedo (60-6-3, 10 KO’s), in early rounds. “I am already the champion and people should come and see a spectacle” he stated.
