Powers, 37, has a fight record of 47 times, with 25 losses and a draw, and last fought at the Unity Park in 2015 when he won by a technical knockout against Anicet Amoussou.

This time, he faces Ghanaian journeyman, Eric Kwardey, in a 10-round cruiserweight bout.

Kwardey, whose only victory was over Joseph Akakpo six years ago in his 13 fights since turning professional, would seek to obtain his first win in six years.

Another classic fight on the bill will be a WBO Junior Africa heavyweight championship between Ebenezer Tetteh and Boniface Kabore from Burkina Faso.

Both boxers will seek to end the year on a high note as they bid to achieve the solitary goal of inching closer to a world title shot in 2018.

The night will also witness a cameo appearance from world title hopefuls, Habib Ahmed and Bastie Samir, who will engage in a four-round shadow boxing exhibition bout.

The bill is being sponsored by Round Up Lounge, a special pub in Accra, which will hold a press conference tomorrow at the same venue.
