Saviour Gad, also known as the Volta Tyson, will slug it out with Accra-based Daniel Timothy in a non-title contest as the main bout.

This contest is expected to afford the people of the Volta Region an opportunity to watch the two boxers who have been longing for this fight for a long time.

Already, reports indicate that the two boxers have stepped up their preparations ahead of the fight, with Volta Tyson promising to bring some honour to the region by stopping his opponent.

Similarly, Timothy has sent a strong warning to Volta Tyson to be ready for a tough fight that could see an end to his young career.

The war of words between the two boxers has created anxiety among the people of the region who cannot wait to see if their prized boxer would live up to his words or it would be a night the fans would want to easily forget.

The CEO of Infinity Star hotel, John Kwakuvi Hounlessodji, explained that his outfit decided to host the fight because he wanted to see boxing grow in the region and produce a world champion soon.

The organisers say there will also be three undercards on the night, featuring two young female boxers who are expected to thrill the audience which will include the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Pius Enam Hadzide, the Ketu North DCE, and the Chief of Dzodze, among other dignitaries.
