Ghanaian wins Wheelchair Challenge in S.A
Ghanaian disabled athlete, Maclean Dzidzienyo made history last Saturday when he beat a quality challenge to win the annual Outeniqua Wheelchair Challenge in George, Western Cape Province, South Africa.

The race, reserved for persons with disability, offered a great opportunity to Maclean to gain international exposure and also help him prepare for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Maclean, who was making his international debut in para sports, becomes the first Ghanaian to compete in the men’s 42km- marathon, in South Africa.
He finished the race well ahead of his challengers to win the grand prize at stake.
Maclean, who recently graduated from Accra Polytechnic with a diploma in accounting, competed against some of the top athletes from all over the world.
His trip was sponsored by Interplast Ghana with support from the president of the National Paralympic Committee, Rev. Bishop Cornelius Agya Kofi, Raphael Botsyo Nkegbe, director of Para Sports at Right to Dream Academy and the South African embassy.
