Ghanaian sprinter, Emmanuel Dasor, wants to put Team Ghana’s disappointing outing at the Olympic Games behind him and focusing on the next Olympics in Tokyo 2020.

He believes the future was bright only when adequate time was invested into their preparation and said he was already working towards making it to the next Games.

“If you want to go to Tokyo 2020 or if you want to participate in an Olympic Games you should start preparing from now, I have start my preparation for Tokyo 2020”, Dasor said.

Recounting his experience at the Rio Game, the Western Kentucky University student said he felt no pressure, but rather, honoured to have run besides the world’s second fastest man,Yohan Blake, and a bronze medalist from South Africa.

He said he had a good experience at Rio though he did not get the result he wanted, he was humbled by the experience and was ready to build on that.

Dasor also disclosed that money had never been a factor in camp as the athletes were more focused on achievement more than remuneration.

He also revealed that team was much bonded together than the previous one where there was no unity.

“We are united now and do everything together. It’s a big change from the previous team”, he said.
