The mass schools cricket coaching programme, which is designed to introduce the beautiful game of cricket to the youth of Ghana, was held in Kumasi as a follow-up to a two-day intro course (January 17-18, 2013) organised for 44 sports tutors drawn from 27 basic/Junior high schools, Senior High Schools, a technical training institute and Wesley College (a teacher training institution) at the premises of the latter.

The programme also followed immediately after the mass cricket participation events activity (July 2-5, 2013) at Cape Coast in the Central Region.

A total of 1429 students of ages 9-25 years were introduced to the game.

Two bowling machines were used to assist in teaching at the KNUST SHS and Kumasi Academy sessions on Saturday, October 26, 2013.
