Courage Adukpo wins Ghana’s Strongest

Master Courage Adukpo last Sunday emerged the winner of TV3’s Ghana’s Strongest reality show held at the Oceanic Beach Resort in Korle-Gonno, Accra.

He pipped three other contestants: Daman Smith (Shaka Zulu), Ahmed Boakye and Mumuni Osmanu (John Cena) for the coveted prizes which included GHC 13,000 as well as souvenirs and products from the sponsors.

In all, there were five competitions held on the day, which included car pull, keg toss, dead lift, sack in the pond, and tyre flop.

Courage dominated most of the events, earning a total 94 points to be crowned champion. Giant athlete, Damain Smith finished in second place with 92 points, Mumuni Osmanu placed third with 87 points, and Ahmed Boakye claimed fourth place with 81 points.

The champion, Adukpo in an interview stated that finishing second in last year's competition served as motivation for his triumph.

“The other contestants were very competitive and I am glad I was able to put up a good show to win this year; I hope they will be competing next year,” he said.

Adukpo also disclosed that he will not be defending his title next year because he will be retiring from active competition.
