8 for GNPC Ghana Fastest Human final

Eight sprinters last Saturday booked their place for the grand final of this year’s GNPC Ghana Fastest Human(GFH) at the Tamale Sports Stadium.

They are John Darko, Charity Dadzie, Sahdo Alhassan,  Shelby Saddick aka Tamale Usain Bolt, Theresa Kambozie and Charles Okyere.

Over 800 sprinters from the Upper West, Upper East and Northern regions  participated  in the Tamale meet.

An earlier meet was held in Takoradi for sprint talents in the Western and Central regions which featured sprints talent in Under- 10, Under- 15, Under- 18  as well as seniors.

The next edition to feature athletes from Ashanti and Brong Ahafo regions will be staged at  the Paa Joe Stadium in Kumasi on July 13 while the  El Wak, show to be held on August 16,  will attract  sprint talents from the Volta, Eastern and Greater Accra regions. 

The best four athletes will be selected from the grand final to start the first GNPC Speedsters Club for Sprinters. 

The  GFH is being sponsored by the GNPC, Surfline, Adidas Ghana, Red Sea Maritime, Indomie, Moringa King, Pippas Gym, Afam Beauty Products, Wrenco Printing, EIB Network, UTV, GTV Sports Plus and Metro TV.
