Thomas Duah back in charge of Ashgold, expat coaches quit
The decision to get Duah back into a caretaker role was arrived at following the departure of their French coach, Romain Folz and the goalkeepers’ trainer, Alejandro Manu Rodriguez on mutual grounds, the club have announced.

The Ghana Premier League side announced on their Twitter page that the two expatriate coaches parted ways by mutual termination and that their replacements would be announced soon.
“Head coach Romain Folz and goalkeepers' coach Alejandro Manu Rodriguez have officially requested for a mutual termination of their contract agreement with the club.
“Management would explore all available options in relation to their contractual situations and decide on the next line of action.
“In the meantime, assistant coach Thomas Duah has been tasked to lead the technical team until a substantive decision is made in relation to the technical direction of the club,” the club stated in a tweet.
Their unexpected departure follows the exit of their Serbian trainer Milovan Cirkovic who also left in a similar fashion in February just three months after his appointment.
Romain Folz quit Ashgold less than two months in charge
Folz, 30, joined the ‘Soccer Miners’ from Bechem United on a two-year deal and was expected to salvage the club's Premier League campaign, but his presence did not improved the fortunes of the Soccer Miners.
When Folz took over the club in March, Ashgold had 22 points from 17 games and were 10th on the league log, but after 22 matches the team now occupy the ninth position on the log with 30 points.
The Frenchman was said to have gone AWOL but was later was spotted in the departure hall of the Kotoka Internationl Airport on his way out of the country.
Ashantigold play host to Techiman Eleven Wonders on Sunday
Duah, who was caretaker coach when Cirkovic left, will lead the Aboakese lads when they play host to 14th-placed Techiman Eleven Wonders in Sunday's Premier League clash at the Len Clay Stadium,Obuasi.
