Work stalls on Odumase-Amanfro school project

A Six unit classroom block under construction by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) for pupils of Odumase-Amanfro M/A cluster of schools in the Ga West Municipality in the Greater Accra Region has stalled due to lack of funds.

The project, which is 80 per cent complete, has been abandoned at the roofing level and has currently been turned into a playground for the schoolchildren.

The pupils are at the moment studying in a makeshift shed that is serving as classroom for pupils in the lower primary and is overcrowded. In view of its temporary nature of the structure both the pupils and teachers are exposed to the vagaries of the weather.


The Municipal Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ghana Education Service (GES) in Ga West, Rev. Michael Daniel Yeboah Narh, in an interview with the Daily Graphic last Thursday, expressed disappointment with the state of affairs in the school but said effo
