Carissa Sharon Oyakhilome, one of the daughters of popular pastor, Chris Oyakhilome, has gotten married traditionally to her Ghanaian fiance, Phillip Frimpong.
Members of Christ Embassy, including popular singer Sinach, were present at the lavish affair.
Carissa wore her traditional Nigerian attire and also changed into Kente accessorised with Ghanaian beads in homage to her husband's Ghanaian roots.
Phillip and Carissa Sharon got engaged last year in the UK. News of the engagement first broke when Sharon’s mother, Anita Oyakhilome, took to Facebook to wish her daughter well in marriage.
The two later confirmed the news on their Instagram pages with Carissa Sharon describing Phillip as her "very best friend".
“YES! I am engaged to my very best friend! The most amazing and my absolute favourite person -@iampf! I am so, so blessed. I would say yes over and over I love you ”, she wrote.
An equally elated Phillip also wrote: “God loved me enough to give me @carissasharon – She said yes!”
While Carissa is a Gospel musician, Phillip is the co-founder of ONUA, an online shop which sells products including lampshades, coasters and mugs made from Kente and Dutch Wax Print.
He was born to Ghanaian parents in the Netherlands and raised in the UK.
The white wedding of the couple will be held on Saturday, October 6 in Lagos, Nigeria.
