Patrons ask Tehillah Experience organisers to move event to bigger venue
In spite of their disappointment, patrons still had fun at Tehillah Experience

Move Tehillah to bigger venue - Patrons

DISAPPOINTED patrons to Gospel musician, Ohemaa Mercy's Tehillah Experience concert which came off at the Calvary Temple of the ICGC at Sakumono on Sunday, August 11, have urged the organisers to move the event to a bigger venue.

Hundreds of people were left out of the "Holy Ghost" experience at the show when they were unable to gain entrance into the auditorium and had to 'enjoy' the concert outside.

A number of them who spoke to Showbiz said they were saddened by what happened when some of them had come earlier than the advertised time of 4 p.m. for the show.

A patron, Ewuradjoa, said she rushed to the venue early only to find the auditorium full and she had no choice than to sit outside and watch Tehillah Experience from the projector.

"I heard on radio that the show will begin at exactly 4pm. I therefore rushed here so I could get a comfortable seat only to be told by the security that the place was already full so we cannot be allowed inside to prevent congestion. I perfectly understood that but I think the venue has to be changed.

"Just look at the numbers outside and even those on the street, this place obviously cannot contain the crowd because Tehillah is big now so the organisers have to find an alternative," she said.

For Edem, who came all the way from Kasoa, even though he was compromising by monitoring proceedings from the projector, he would have loved to be in the auditorium since he wanted to see the performing artistes in the flesh and not on a screen.

"Apart from Ohemaa Mercy, two of my favourite artistes, Ceccy Twum and Joe Mettle were performing and truthfully, I would have loved to be inside to see them but as you can see from the current situation, it was not possible," he said.

Interestingly, some of the patrons attributed the early fill up of the auditorium to members of the Calvary Temple who they claim didn't go home after service and already occupied seats before the start of the show, even though that was not confirmed by organisers.

"I live just across the street and I can tell you that the church closed earlier than they usually do probably to give organisers ample time to prepare. It is not hearsay that this place was already filled up by 2pm. This accounted for the many patrons outside," she stated.

Notwithstanding the disappointment, Tehillah which was on the theme:"Holy Ghost Experience" was pulled off successfully by Ohemaa Mercy and her team.

Tehillah Experience saw performances from Ohemaa Mercy, Ceccy Twum, Joe Mettle, Efe Grace, Elder Mireku and Diana Hamilton. Michael Mahendere from Zimbabwe, Lebo Segkobela from South Africa and Evelyn Wanjiru from Kenya also performed.
