Former British High Commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin and Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale have a great friendship which has been playing out on social media. And once again, the diplomat has shown his admiration for the self-acclaimed Dancehall King after tweeting that he is the godfather of the Shatta Movement (SM).

Jon Benjamin was replying to a tweet by an SM who tagged him as the father of Shatta Movement. He then tweeted,“I’m actually the Shatta Movement godfather.”
The tweet has been well received by fans of the Ayoo hitmaker who are heaping praise on the former High Commissioner to Ghana.
Shatta Wale and Mr Benjamin have been good friends for quite some time and this tweet is not really much of a surprise since the diplomay has on a number of occasions defended Shatta Wale on social media for some of his actions.

Pictures of the two drinking beer popped up on social media after John Benjamin officially ended his duties as British High Commissioner to Ghana in 2017.
