KUMAWOOD actress, Cecilia Gyaase Konamah, known in showbiz as Abena Ghana is the host of a new television talk show dubbed Dee Eko on Angel TV.
The 7pm show which started showing two weeks ago discusses entertainment, relationship and social issues.
In a chat with Daily Graphic about Dee Eko which airs on Saturdays, actress Abena Ghana said she had to switch to hosting a TV show because the time had come for her to venture into a new territory.
“I have been in the movie industry for a while but I guess it is time to try my hands at something else.
“In life, it is good to be versatile. It is good to try new things so I decided to do TV and I like the response I am getting so far.
According to her, Dee Eko is already getting good reviews and that was very encouraging.
“It has been good so far and I am already excited. You see, Dee Eko aims at educating and advising the public through other people’s problems and experiences as well as guide my audience to live a better life.
“I pray this show travels very far. I believe Dee Eko will become the much talked about show in a few months to come.
“I will therefore entreat all those who want to be part of the show and would want the world to hear their compelling stories to reach me on my social media pages”, she said.
Abena Ghana, who is also a philanthropist has played various roles and starred in movies such as, Evangelist Kyeiwaa, Tonga, Sexy Wizard, Sufre Awurade, Nku Me Fie, Mekunu Wuo, Teacher Kojo, War of Roses, Leave My wife, Ewieye Ne Asem, Supremo and many others.
