Travis 'Astroworld' expected to oust Drake's 'Scorpion'

DRAKE'S Scorpion album has been at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for the past five consecutive weeks has been at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for the past five consecutive weeks but that might change soon as Travis Scott’s Astroworld is expected dethrone the 6 God.

According to HITS Daily Double, upon its Friday (August 3) release, tracks from the album were reportedly streamed over 100 million times.

Out of the Top 10 songs on iTunes, nine of them belong to La Flame. Seven out of the 10 top tracks on Spotify are from Astroworld as well.

As of press time, Scott has pulled in roughly 450,000 to 500,000 total album equivalent units and 170,000 to 195,000 of those are pure album sales.

Astroworld serves as the follow-up to 2016’s Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight and features contributions from Drake, Frank Ocean, The Weeknd, Stevie Wonder, Pharrell, James Blake and John Mayer, among others.

Travis Scott real name Jacques Berman Webster II was born on April 30, 1992. The American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer signed his first major-label deal with Epic Records in 2012.

Scott's first full-length project, a mixtape titled Owl Pharaoh, was self-released in May 2013. This was followed with a second mixtape, titled Days Before Rodeo, in August 2014.

His debut studio album, Rodeo, was released in September 2015 and was led by the hit single Antidote, which reached the top 20 of the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

His second album, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, was released in September 2016, to generally positive reviews.

The following year, Travis Scott released a collaborative album with Quavo titled Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho under the group name Huncho Jack. He released his third album, Astroworld, on August 3, 2018.

Scott began dating reality television star Kylie Jenner in April 2017. On February 1, 2018, Jenner gave birth to their first child, daughter Stormi Webster.
