JAMAICAN Reggae group, Morgan Heritage seems to have made Ghana its second home.
In the last year or two, Morgan Heritage has been to the country a number of times and they have collaborated with one of our biggest stars Stonebwoy.
Now the Grammy winning group, made up of Gramps Morgan, Peetah Morgan and Mojo Morgan, have cemented their love for Ghana more by collaborating again with Stonebwoy and shooting the video for the new single, titled Africa Jamaica here.
Tanzania’s biggest music star, Diamong Platnumz also features on the track.
The video for Africa Jamaica was shot in locations in Accra including Tema, Ashaiman, Nima among others and directed by international video director, Jordan Hoechlin.
Celebrated Dancehall musician, Samini also joined the artistes on set and they had a great time.
In an interview with Showbiz, Peetah Morgan explained that, “This music video is tipped as a lead for our upcoming album due for release in 2019. We are using this project not only to make history but as a uniting tool for Africa.
“We are using West Africa (Ghana, Stonebwoy) and East Africa (Tanzania, Diamond Platnumz) as key influences for this mission.
"We look forward to the bigger connect with all of Africa and the entire Caribbean too with Jamaica as the lead of this project and mission,” he stated.
The video for the Africa Jamaica is set for release in a few weeks.
Morgan Heritage was also present for the official unveiling of ambassadors for the Ghana Jamaica Homecoming Festival recently in Accra.
The Ghana-Jamaica Homecoming Festival seeks to identify and align with Jamaica as a gateway to the Caribbean countries and Africa.
