AWARDS fever has officially set in! Nominees for the second edition of the 3Music Awards were unveiled on Friday, February 1 to a lot of excitement.
Some of the nominations were announced online with the others being announced on Joy FM. This year, the 3Music Awards is being held in collaboration with the Multimedia Group and the Fantasy Dome.
It will come off on Saturday, March 16 at the Fantasy Dome at the Trade Fair Centre in La, Accra.
The nominations include many of the talented acts who works distinguished them in the year under review which is November 1 2017-October 31, 2018.
The Gospel Act of the Year category for instance has the likes of Joe Mettle, Joyce Blessing, Cwesi Oteng, Diana Hamilton and Bethel Revival Choir competing for the award.
This year, like last year, categories like the Fan Army of the Year returns and the nominees are Shatta Movement, 69 Fans (Fans of Maccasio), Gadam Nation, Sark Nation, Bhim Nation, Manifans, Pa2Pa Soldiers, AMG Beyond Control, Team Move and Shay Fans.
There are a number of awards to be won in categories including Music Man of the Year, Music Woman of the Year, Group of the Year, Breakthrough of the Year, Next Rated Act of the Year, DJ of the Year, Hip hop Song of the Year, African Act of the Year, Best GH International Act of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, Male Act of the Year and Female Act of the Year.

The show’s organisers, 3Music, have hinted that the 2019 edition of the awards will be “bigger and better.”
