SOUND engineers from last season’s MTN Hitmaker; Richie of Lynx Entertainment, award winning producer, Magnom and DJ Breezy will retain their seats for Hitmaker Season 7.
This is Richie and Magnom’s four year associating with Hitmaker while this is DJ Breezy’s second year on the show.
According to the show’s producer, Nii Ayitey Hammond of Charterhouse, the beatmakers’ work last year was remarkable and peole loved them.
“For the same reason we chose them, we are doing it this year. After last year’s, the feedback we got from people about the three gave us no option than to use them again.
"Apart from that, monitoring their works in previous years, they effortlessly put in their best and for me that is a sign of excellence which MTN Hitmaker seeks to achieve in the music industry.
“They know their way around the music fraternity and know exactly what they are looking for in the artistes they listen to or groom, they are focused as well so yes we are keeping them, “ he told Showbiz in an interview.
Richie has cemented his reputation as a man of many talents. He is an amazing singer; top notch songwriter, artiste manager and beat maker.
His company, Lynx Entertainment, has churned out some very high profile artistes including Asem, Eazzy and is currently managing BET Award nominee, MzVee and the new sensations Kuami Eugene and KiDi.
Magnom has produced numerous hit songs since he emerged on the music scene some years ago. Some of his hit songs include Joey B’s U X Me, Hold Me, Tsoobi, among others. He is also a musician whose song My Baby was a hit last year.
This is the second year of DJ Breezy’s involvement with MTN Hitmaker but he comes on board with a wealth of experience. He is a DJ, songwriter, mix and audio engineer and has over 10 years experience with production.
MTN Hitmaker is aimed at giving authentic singers and rappers a platform to build their talents and be ready for the music industry.
This year’s winner will as usual take home a GH¢100,000 prize. MTN Hitmaker has produced music talents such as Naterial, Koo Ntakra, Togbe, KiDi, Kurl Songx, Kuami Eugene and Freda Rhymes.
