“Not many female musicians win awards even after many years but I have just won an award. This is an indication that I am doing something right,” she said.

According to Sista Afia, this award will motivate her to work hard and go for gold adding that she will be dropping more songs this year.

Known for other songs like Slay Queen, Are You Ready, Boko, Champion Atta and Krokrono, Sista Afia said she is currently in the studio with Sarkodie and other A-List musicians.

Sista Afia wants to a very good live band performer

“I am coming out big by the end of the year and Ghanaians are going to love the songs I produce. I am beginning with Sarkodie and I can promise Ghanaians the song is a hit already,” she said.

Although some artistes claim music is not lucrative, Sista Afia believes she will have a different story. “If the likes of Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Wiyaala are making it in the music industry, I trust I can also make it,” she stated.

For now, Sista Afia said she is working towards playing live because it will push her brand to the next level.

“I respect any musician who performs live and that is what I am currently working on. I want to be one of the best female live band performers,” she indicated.
