The late Ebony inspires me says singer Ohemaa

SINCE her death early this year, a number of artistes have come out to say, the late Dancehall musician, Ebony Reigns has been a source of encouragement. One such person is new entrant Ohemaa.

Ohemaa who is planning to release her latest single Marry Me soon said she was inspired by the Maame Hwe singer to do her new song.

“The late Ebony was one of my mentors and I loved her songs very well. I liked her style and her stagecraft too”, she told Showbiz.

On the yet to be released Marry Me, Ohemaa talks about how she wants her man to treat her. She goes on to sing in the song that she wants an extravagant wedding and hopes her would be husband grants her wish.

Throwing more light on the song recorded by Willis Beatz, Ohemaa said she did the song to inspire men to go all out to treat their ladies well.

Ohemaa told Showbiz she started doing music two years ago and going forward in her career, she would love to feature musicians such as Wiyaala, Becca and Efya in subsequent works.

According to the 21 year-old musician from the Upper West Region, she is very positive she can make it on the music scene because she is unique.

“I don’t copy anyone. I do me and I believe once you give Ghanaians the best of you, they will accept you in no time. I sing well and I am very active on stage too” she added.
