Call it a bluff but Zylofon Media artiste Obibini says he is ready for a rap battle between himself ,E.L, M.anifest  and Sarkodie.

According to the rapper, it will be a great opportunity to battle these great artistes for everyone to know what he is capable of.

The illegal mining menace and its resultant problems such as the destruction of the environment, loss of lives among others is what has motivated a group of individual artistes to come together under the name Top Level Squad (TLS), to release a single titled Stop Galamsey.

The artistes, seven in number, are Ras MK, Ayisi, K.Rock, Yhorb Khid, Linking, Moni Kaline and Roizy. In an interview with Showbiz, a member of the group, Ayisi, said members of the group decided to release their single in order to add their voice to the effort at ending the Galamsey problem.

Distant love is the subject of up-and- coming rapper, Gachios, new single  title Love Letter.

In the song, Love Letter, Gachios sings for his love interest that has travelled outside the country for three years and is rumoured to be married to a white man. Gachios sings that the lack of communication from his love is the cause of his tears and sorrows.

After going into hiatus for some time, hiplife duo Akatakyie are back on the scene with two new singles, Only Baba and Ashawo.

The two, made up of Prince Kwabena Budu Asamani (Kobby Culture) and Ebenezer Kwasi Okyere Asamani (Pharoah) are optimistic that the two singles will fly because they are receiving appreciable airplay since they were released two weeks ago.

Stevo  Atambire, the kologo/calabash player and singer from Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region, will launch his latest album, ‘Teach Me,’  with a  free concert on Saturday, August  5 at the Abajo Culture and Art Café within the Accra Arts Centre. 

The 19-track collection was recorded in Accra and produced by Wanlov The Kubolor and Percy Yip Tong from Mauritius, a project they describe as a “ a unique West and East African collaboration from the Atlantic to the Indian Ocean.”

The track is a romantic love-based, mid-tempo piece that showcases Nautica’s smooth singing. In the song, he indicates his hunger for his lover’s body and describes it in a variety of ways that portray him as a lyricist with big potential.

The initial line-up which included Cwesi Oteng, Bro Philimon, Ceccy Twum and  Noble Nketsiah has been updated to include Sonnie Badu, Elder Mireku, Joe Mettle, Pastor Isaiah and Uncle Ato.

Bukom Square in Accra will witness some of the best Ga musicians in the country on Saturday, August 12 as Nii Funny, Tinny, Article Wan and Luther mount the stage to thrill patrons during the  Gamashi Homowo Bash.

Joe Wizzy is a Hiplife and Hiphop artiste serving a second term as the Greater Accra Regional Organiser of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA). Kento is a Highlife and Afropop artiste and leader of the eight- piece, The Project Band based at Winneba.

The 4 Pm album launch started with a performance from Rev. Sam Aboagye who gave a splendid performance.

His mission is to win souls for Christ through his music and urban gospel artiste, Asiedu Enoch aka Needed is happy he is close to achieving his aim. 

“The youth love rap, hip hop and my intention is to jam with them with the kind of songs I do and I am glad I have been accepted” he told Showbiz in an interview on Monday.
