The Technical University Teachers' Association of Ghana (TUTAG) has urged all stakeholders involved in the upcoming 2024 elections to prioritise transparency throughout the electoral process.

It follows recent developments concerning the call for an audit and correction of the voters’ register.

A statement issued by TUTAG and jointly signed by its President, Uriah S. Tetteh, and General Secretary, Samuel Jabez Arkaifie, therefore, urged all parties and the Electoral Commission to work together in good faith and with mutual respect to address the challenges.

TUTAG emphasised that the calls for audits and corrections should be given priority to engender trust in the outcome of the December 7, 2024 polls.

"It is imperative that all political parties and relevant institutions collaborate effectively to ensure that the electoral process is not only transparent but also free from any form of undue influence or manipulation," the association said.
