Parliament approves ministerial nominees for new regions

Parliament has approved the recent 18 nominees by the President as Ministers and deputy ministers for the newly created regions and some other portfolios.

The approval of one nominee, Evelyn Kumi-Richardson for the Bono Region has however been deferred as the house was still considering her nomination in relation to her academic qualifications that came up during the vetting.

Meanwhile, the House passed the Right to Information Bill (RTI) later in the day.

Graphic Online gathered that the Minority in Parliament intended to arrest the bill for further deliberations, reports Mary Mensah.
