She said the motorbikes would enhance the mobility of the assembly members to and from their electoral areas.

Ms Adu said the motorbikes were purchased from the assembly’s share of the District Assemblies’ Common Fund.

She advised the beneficiaries to ensure the regular maintenance of the motorbikes.

Ms Adu also urged the beneficiaries to be careful when riding the motorbikes to prevent accidents.

Streetlight bulbs

The MCE also presented 200 sodium streetlight bulbs valued at GH¢15,000 to the assembly members to be installed at vantage points in their electoral areas to improve security.

She said the bulbs were bought with the assembly’s Internally Generated Fund (IGF).

The Presiding Member of the assembly, Mr Andrews Abrokwah on behalf of his colleagues, thanked the government and the assembly for the gesture and promised to make good use of the items.
