Elections to Council of State fixed for Feb. 6

The  Electoral Commission (EC) has fixed Wednesday, February 6, 2012, for the holding of elections to elect regional representatives to the Council of State.

A statement signed by the EC Deputy Chairman in Charge of Operations, Mr Kwadwo Sarfo-Kantanka, said the commission would take nominations on Monday and Tuesday, January 21 and 22, 2013, respectively from 8.00 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

The statement said nomination forms were available at all regional offices of the commission.

It said prospective candidates were required to submit two recent photographs (bust) to the returning officer on submission of the nomination forms.
