The broad spectrum antibiotics were also administered to parents, teachers and other individuals who visited the school.

The exercise is part of measures instituted by the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the Ghana Health Service (GHS) to help contain the spread of the disease.

It has been found out that the H1N1 virus is the cause of death of four students who have passed on in the last one week.

Some students are on admission at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital whilst the rest have been quarantined on campus.

However, some students have sneaked out of campus into town.

The Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama visited the campus Friday evening with the Minister of Health, Mr Kwaku Agyemang Manu and assured that everything possible was being done to contain the disease.
