Iran Clinic extends health care to Shai Osudoku District

The Iran Clinic has embarked on an outreach programme in the Shai Osudoku District in the Greater Accra Region to support healthcare delivery in the area.

The programme, which was held in Ayikuma, attracted a large patronage, including nursing mothers, the youth and aged.

The team of physicians and para-medics from the clinic screened and treated about 250 patients and gave them free medication.

Some of the diseases were skin rashes, hypertension, diabetes, among others.

Besides, the clinic donated a quantity of drugs to the Ayikuma Health Post.

The Medical Director of the Iran Clinic, Dr Masoud Maleki Birjandi, assured the people of the Shai Osudoku District of their continued support in healthcare delivery in the area.

He said the clinic, an affiliate of the Iranian Red Crescent Society in Ghana, was focused on providing quality and affordable health care in fulfilment of its role in providing humanitarian services to Ghanaians.

Some members of the community expressed their gratitude to the Iran Clinic for carrying out such a laudable exercise.

The district director of Health Services for the Shai Osudoku Health Directorate also expressed his gratitude and asked that such humanitarian ventures be carried out in other areas within the Shai Osudoku District.
