Women’s Aglow thanks God, prays for national prosperity, peace

Members of Women’s Aglow International, Ghana, last Saturday converged on the Black Star Square in Accra, and prayed for peace and prosperity for the nation.

The group, led by its National Prayer Director, Mrs Gifty Afenyi-Dadzie, and the National President, Madam Dorothy Danso, also sang, danced and thanked God for keeping the country together.

In a gesture symbolic of a nation on the move under the guidance of God, a vehicle decorated with the colours of the national flag drove round the venue, to the admiration of the crowd gathered.

Mrs Afenyi-Dadzie and other members of Women’s Aglow, cheerfully and loudly blew vuvuzelas in appreciation of the peace the country was enjoying.

Last Saturday’s prayer service marked the mid-year prayer meeting for the group, which meets at the venue every month, to pray for the nation.

Mrs Afenyi-Dadzie, quoting Ezekiel 18:30-32, asked the congregation to proclaim peace over the country everywhere they found themselves.

As usual, the mid-year prayer session was very well attended by the Aglow membership, who were dressed in white.
