The family of the late Edward Kofi Ahiabor, former Municipal Chief Executive of Keta in the Volta Region, is asking the public to cease sharing photographs of the corpse.

The family says it is traumatised by the development and desires that the public respect the wishes of the family, especially as the police have begun investigations into circumstances surrounding his death.

The 55-year-old career farmer was discovered dead on Thursday, December 20, near his father’s house at Angloga.

“We ask that speculations of the circumstances of his death be stopped while the police conclude their work”, a family spokesperson told Graphic Online, and explained that the police have since conveyed the body to the Police Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Until his death, Kofi Ahiabor was the Production and Quality Control Manager of Tip Top Foods Ltd, which he established in 1991, and served as the MCE of the Keta Municipal Assembly from 2004 to 2008.
