Sammens quits Coastal Development job after 4 months
The CEO of Accra-based Citi FM, Samuel Attah-Mensah (popularly known as Sammens) has quit his role as the CEO of the Coastal Development Authority (CDA) after barely four months in the job.

“The appointees are to act pending the receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the governing Boards of the Development Authorities, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission,” a statement from the presidency said.

However, it appears things have not gone according to plan with the Herald Newspaper reporting that Sammens fell out with his superintending minister, Mavis Hawa Koomson, who is in charge of Special Development Initiatives.

His resignation was confirmed on air (Wednesday, September 26, 2018) by the host of the Citi Breakfast Show, Bernard Avle.
The Coastal Development Authority, as well as the Middle Belt and Northern Development Authorities, are to develop Infrastructure for the Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP).
The IPEP programme will oversee the disbursement of the equivalent of $1 million per constituency per year, in fulfillment of one of the New Patriotic Party’s major promises.,
The project is also expected to have a direct link with the government’s one district one factory project, which is estimated to cost GH¢456.3 million and create about 350,000 jobs.
