PHOTOS: President Mahama meets Japanese Emperor Akihito

President John Dramani Mahama this morning began his official visit to Japan with a courtesy call on Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.

The President was accompanied by First Lady Mrs. Lordina Dramani Mahama who has since addressed the Association of Wives of African Ambassadors in Tokyo at a Special Luncheon held in her honour.
President Mahama will later today hold talks with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
