Photos: Poor Chinese man roasts himself to cure leukaemia
A helpless Chinese man has become an online hit after his extreme way of curing disease was exposed on Friday. By lying on a self-made “grill”, he wishes to burn his cancer away.

25-year-old Jia Binhui, from China’s remote Yunlong county, Yunnan Province, was diagnosed with #leukaemia in 2013.
In a bid to search for medical treatments, he has spent all his savings over the past two years.
With no other choice, he decided to be his own doctor and treat himself with fire.
A Western China Metropolis Daily report said Jia set up an "operating table" near his home on Thursday--a wooden “grill”, and built a fire underneath. He then lay on it and #baked himself for half an hour, bearing the high temperature.
Jia said he would continue the treatment for several days before going to doctors to check whether his homemade therapy can help kill some cancer cells.
Although some people on China’s twitter-like Sina Weibo are criticising him as stupid, many others are sending wishes and calling to help the poor man.
“I don’t know why there are so many people saying that he is mad. Will he act like this if he had money for treatment? I myself actually admire his way of living very much,” wrote a user named @yiqitaoyandexiatian.
“This is so sad... Although there is no scientific base for this, there is hope inside. I hope the pains will not torture him too much,” wrote another named @wumi.
“Very sad. There are many poor villages in Yunnan. Can people use the money from corrupted officials to subsidise these people?” @sheyingshimoyi.
