Obrempong Wetse Kojo II is chief of Ngleshie Alata - Kingmakers of James Town

The Kingmakers of the paramount stool and principal elders of Ngleshie Alata Jamestown Traditional Area have reiterated that Obrempong Wetse Kojo II, also known as Dr Prince Asharku-Bruce Quaye is the legitimate Paramount chief of the Ngleshie Alata Paramount Stool, Jamestown.

This comes after some persons purporting to be elders of the James town stool held a press conference in Accra a few days ago disputing the ruling of the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs (Dodowa) on the matter.

On June 15, 2021, the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs pronounced a ruling and judgment delivered separately on the same day in favour of Obrempong Wetse Kojo II, also known as Dr Prince Asharku-Bruce Quaye as the legitimate Paramount chief of the Ngleshie Alata Paramount Stool, James Town.

At a press conference in Accra on Tuesday, Nii Ayittey Sampah, also known as Nii Appiah V, the Paramount Stool father and one of the Ngleshie Alata Kingmakers stated that: “The attention of the kingmakers have been drawn to a press conference organized by certain miscreants and unscrupulous persons making references from spurious documents which seek to have a different interpretation of the authentic ruling and judgment respectively from the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs, Dodowa.”

The kingmakers have advised the general public to disregard the press conference organized by persons they described as "non-royals who do not have capacities whatsoever to make pronouncements on the affairs of the James Town Stool and treat it with the contempt it deserves".

The kingmakers added: “In fact and indeed, those who held the press conference and their cohorts have been substantially affected by the ruling and the judgment to the extent that their voracious appetite for greed and money have been thwarted by the judgment from the Greater Accra Regional House of chiefs.”

The kingmakers further warned that anyone who puts in the domain both home and abroad, any information contrary to the dictates of the authentic ruling and judgment would face the full rigours of the law and would be cited for contempt.

In view of the above, and in order to set the records straight, the kingmakers have made available for free certified true copies of the authentic ruling and judgment from the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs, Dodowa.

They directed interested persons to contact 0244131812 or 0245784755 for free copies.
