Nana Sifa Twum buries father on Saturday

Burial and funeral service of the late Samuel Baldwin Twum, retired Director of Education, will take place at Oyoko near Koforidua, on Saturday, 1st September.

The late S. B. Twum who died at the age of 98, was the father of Nana Sifa Twum, communications and media consultant and CEO of SIFAT Communications, Ghana and England.

The body will be laid in state on Saturday, the 1st of September at his residence at Oyoko, followed by burial service at 9.00am at the Ebenezer Methodist Church, after which the remains will be interred at the Oyoko public cemetery.

Gathering of the family and well-wishers will follow immediately at the Hackman Social Centre at Oyoko, according to a programme announced by the family.

A memorial and thanksgiving service will be held on Sunday, September 2, at the Ebenezer Methodist Church, Oyoko.

The late S.B. Twum taught at Hwidiem in the Brong Ahafo Region, Adukrom, Osiem, Koforidua all in the Eastern Region and later became a District Supervisor of schools at the then New Juaben District Education office in Koforidua, rising through the ranks to become Deputy District Director of Education before retiring in 1989.

He also served the Methodist Church in various capacities, including secretary to the Koforidua (Eastern Region) synod of the Guild. He also was once secretary of the erstwhile Progress Party, Koforidua District.
