Musama Disco Church holds special crusade

The Musama Disco Christo Church (MDCC) has organised a four-day special crusade and prayer session at Gomoa Mankessim in the Gomoa West District to pray for a peaceful election petition verdict and economic stability of the country.

The crusade was on the theme: “Peace for the nation, Ghana” and attended by 23 stations from three districts of the church within the Gomoa West and Gomoa East districts.

Prophet Jona Jehu-Appiah, who was a special guest, urged Christians to pray without ceasing for God to grant the nine judges of the Supreme Court understanding and wisdom.

He said there was the need to intensify their prayers so that the verdict of the election petition would be acceptable to all to ensure peace and unity in the country.

Prophet Jehu-Appiah said Ghana should continue to enjoy peace and stability, adding that political upheaval would not help economic and social development.

He added that it was the responsibility of Christians to pray for the state to reduce the rising political tension.

Prophet Jehu-Appiah asked politicians to desist from acts which would create room for corrupt practices.

Prophet Jehu-Appiah said the MDCC had faced crisis for the past 11 years but that should not stop members from praying for God to change it for the better.

Reverend Ernest Arthur, Organising Secretary of the church, said the crusade was to pray for the election petition, MPs, ministers, and other state appointees for God to offer them protection and guidelines to move the nation forward.
