Menzgold CEO sets up Muslim educational fund with GH¢1m
Brilliant, needy students in Zongo communities are to benefit from an educational fund set up in the name of Sheikh Dr Osman Nuhu Sharubutu
fund was set up by the Chief Executive Officer of and Zylofon, Nana Appiah Mensah, with GH¢1 million seed money.
Nana Mensah announced this when the Chief Imam led a delegation to pay a courtesy call on him in Accra yesterday.

Among the delegation was the Chief of Dagomba and President for the National Muslim Chiefs, Sheikh Abdul Taahiru.
Mr Mensah said the fund was supported by his non-governmental organisation, NAM Mission.
“NAM Mission is a charity organisation in Ghana that is geared towards the provision of aid to the underprivileged and needy in society, as well the development of deprived communities across the country,” he noted.
Explaining why he set up the fund in the name of Shiekh Sharubutu, he said the Chief Imam had played a tremendous role towards peace within the Muslim community and in the country as a whole.
“We need to celebrate our leaders because them, a lot of things we currently enjoy cannot be possible,” he stated.
Nana Mensah stated that one of the core objectives of the NAM Mission was to effect positive changes in state welfare and development in national economic growth.
“It is in line with this that the mission is setting up “The Sheikh Dr Osman Nuhu Sharubutu Educational Fund” with a start-up of GH¢1 million,” he said.
He emphasised that the fund would promote Islamic education across the country.
The Chief Imam thanked NAM Mission and Mr Mensah for the gesture and gave the assurance that the fund would be used for its intended purpose.
“All I have to offer Nana Appiah Mensah are my prayers. I pray for God’s protection and support for you and your organisations,” he added.
