LIVE: Rev Owusu Bempah speaks - Muslims did not attack my church

The founder and leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministries International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah says the irate youth who attacked his church over his New Year's Eve predictions were not Muslims.

According to Rev Bempah, he attended Ahmadiyya schools in his youthful days and he knows Muslims to be peaceful people who will not resort to violence over his prophecy.

"I know them, they will never do this," Rev Bempah said in a live video on his Facebook Page

According to him, he did not prophesy to disgrace the persons involved but it was divined to him by God and he had no control over it.

He also disclosed that the Odorkor branch of his church which was attacked a day after his prophecy has been cleared by the security services to open for church service on Sunday.

Rev Bempah also commended the Chief Imam for advising the youth to desist from acts of violence.

Prophecies of death

The preacher came under fire after he predicted that some prominent personalities including the Chief Imam of Ghana, Sheikh Dr Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia and former Presidents John Agyekum Kufuor and John Mahama might die in 2019.

A day after his pronouncements, some youth suspected to be Muslims were captured in a Facebook Live video defacing some billboards and posters of the Odorkor branch of his church.
