Latex Foam supports Metro Fire Service

The management of Latex Foam Company  has donated a quantity of students’ mattresses to the Metropolitan Fire Station, near Makola, in Accra.

The donation, which was in response to an appeal by the Metro Fire Station, also falls in line with the company’s social and corporate responsibility.

In a brief speech at the ceremony, the Public Relations Officer of Latex Foam, Ms Gifty Ekoecha, said his company’s aim is not only to satisfy its customers by providing them with quality and innovative foam products but also to cater for the larger society within which it operates.

“It was against this background and also on the strength of the good work being done by the Fire Service that we did not hesitate to respond to your call for assistance,” she stressed.

Ms Ekoecha recalled with pride that Latex Foam has also  supported other worthy national endeavours, including the annual Farmers’ Day celebrations adding that the company was always ready and willing to extend a helping hand to justifiable causes.

Receiving the items, DOII Samuel Mensah-Boako, the acting Metro Fire Officer, expressed his gratitude to the management of Latex Foam for their quick response to their plight and pledged that his personnel would take good care of the items.

He said his outfit has three other units at the National Theatre, GBC and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Integration and at each unit, they run a day and night shift system, adding that “even though we are expected to keep wake, rest is essential to human life and, therefore, the donation was not only timely but very essential”.
