Interplast Ghana supports Ghana Covid-19 fund with Gh¢1.2m

The Management of Interplast Ghana Limited has presented a cheque for GH¢1.2 million to the Ghana Covid-19 Trust Fund to support government’s efforts at combatting the spread of the coronavirus disease.

Led by its Managing Director, Hayssam Fakhry, Interplast, Ghana and West Africa’s biggest pipe manufacturing company said the donation represents its corporate social responsibility of giving back to society and the country.

He said the donation is even more imperative at this stage when the pandemic threatens Ghana and there is extreme need to help fight its spread in the country.

Supported by Interplast’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Fakhry presented the Cheque to the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Opare at the Jubilee House.

The Chief of Staff received the cheque on behalf of the fund and called on other organizations to support the cause.

Madam Frema Opare also used the opportunity to encourage industries to educate their workers on best health practices at this critical time and encourage all to go by the social distancing and hygiene protocols.

She thanked Interplast, on behalf of President Akufo-Addo, for the company’s continuous support for the country.
