GCGL commended for reaching out to remote areas
The Upper West Regional (UWR) Minister, Alhaji Sulemana Alhassan, has commended the Graphic Communications Group Ltd (GCGL) for its effort at reaching out to remote areas and empowering the public with authentic information.
He said the company’s coverage of the plight of rural people and promotion of the various policies and programmes of the government had contributed to enhance national cohesion and development.
Alhaji Alhassan made the remarks when the Management Accountant of the GCGL, Mr Albert Kungmah Ziem, paid a courtesy call on him last Friday, as part of the latter’s three-day tour of the region to interact with vendors and staff of the company.
The tour took him to other parts of the region, including Jirapa, Lawra, Bole and Sawla.

The Upper West Regional Minister said over the years, the GCGL, with its strong brands, had been one of the trailblazers in the provision of information on education, health delivery and environmental protection among other areas.
He commended the company’s staff in the region for their cooperation in ensuring that a conducive environment needed to stimulate investment was in the news at all times.
Alhaji Alhassan assured the GCGL of the utmost cooperation of the Upper West Coordinating Council (UWRCC) to ensure that the staff lived in peace to perform their duty diligently.
He expressed satisfaction with the prevailing peace and unity in the region despite the political, ethnic and religious diversity of the people.
Alhaji Alhassan, however, pointed out that the peace and unity should not be taken for granted.
For his part, Mr Ziem expressed his happiness that so far there had been no adverse report on the staff, concerning their work and stay in the region.
He appealed to the readers, customers and vendors of the GCGL to assist the business to grow for the collective interest of both the company and them and asked them to also give feedback on the operations of the company and its products.
