NGO supports children’s home, polyclinic

Helping  In Hand (HIH) Foundation has embarked on some projects to support poor children and the needy in society.

The projects include donating items to the Teshie Children's Home and the Mamprobi Polyclinic.

At the Teshie Children’s Home, the foundation donated money for the upkeep of the children, while it donated assorted items to the Mamprobi Polyclinic.

A statement issued by the foundation said the items, which were received by the doctor in charge of the polyclinic, Dr Kingsley Addo, supported by the nurse in charge, Madam Harriet Allotey, were presented to pregnant women, children and patients at the facilities.

It said the foundation, with its slogan: “We go for peace to help the poor”, was formed by Lena-Joan Nana Kwartemaa Freeman and her friends.

The aims and objectives, it said, included impacting the lives of others in society.

“A helping hand we lend to the disabled, we pledge to stand by the poor and in all things care for the needy,” it said, adding that “we transform the poor to become rich”.

In the case of the children’s home, it said although it was already developed, “our little contribution brought smiles to the faces of the children”.

Members of H.I.H are Iena-Joan Nana Kwartemaa Freeman, Bridget Obaayaa Arhinful, Vera Yawa Mawutor Larbi, Princess Maa Korlekuor Azu-Mate, Sandra Nubueke and Zeinah Marbodie Omar Ahmed
