I’m happy to be in Ghana - IMF’s Christine Lagarde

The Managing Director of the International Monerary Fund (IMF), Madam Christine Lagarde has arrived in Ghana for a three day visit.

Madam Lagarde was received by Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia at the VVIP Lounge of the Kotoka International Airport Sunday evening.

In a brief remark, Madam Lagarde said she was pleased to be in Ghana and looks forward to a productive visit.

Also at the airport to welcome the IMF head was the Minister of Planning, Professor Gyan Baffour and the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Ernest Addison.

This is the first time the head of the Britton Woods institution is visiting Ghana ahead of end of the country’s contract with her outfit.
