‘Don’t sell donated items’
Disadvantaged and needy persons in the society have been cautioned against offering for sale items donated to them by benefactors.
The Chairman of the Progressive Youth Club in Ho, Mr Francis Aba, who made the call explained that such actions on their part might discourage benevolent organisations and kind-hearted individuals from reaching out to them.

Mr Aba made the call when members of the club visited the cured lepers’ village in Ho and donated items as part of activities marking the club’s 10th anniversary celebration.
The items, estimated at about GH¢4,000, included bags of rice, clothing and detergents.
A programmes manager of the village, Mr Courage Dei Zanga, received the items.
He thanked the club for its generosity and said the items would be put to judicious use.
Later at a durbar to climax the club’s 10th anniversary, Mr Aba disclosed that though the club started 10 years ago with only nine friends who came together to be offering moral and financial support to each other in times of need, membership now stood at 150.
DSP Joshua Semanyo of the Volta Regional Police Headquarters cautioned citizens to be mindful of the tricks of fraudsters as we entered the Yuletide.
A legal practitioner, Mr Gordon Kudzo Akpadie, chaired the function.
He suggested to the leadership of the club to organise legal education fora for members to make them familiar with fundamental human rights.
Five members were honoured for their continuous meritorious services to the club since its establishment.
They included the a former chairman, Mr Silas Dorgbefu, and the current one, Mr Aba.
