CAMFED celebrates female SHS leavers

The Campaign for Female Education (CAMFED) has held its annual school leavers graduation and induction ceremony for ladies who just completed Senior High School (SHS).

The ceremony took place in the Tamale metropolis.

The annual ceremony is aimed at celebrating all young women who have been supported upon successful completion of their SHS education.

The event also marked the induction of the SHS leavers into the (CAMFED ALUMNI) known as the CAMA network as they transition from being bursary beneficiaries to becoming CAMA members.

The Programmes Manager for CAMFED, Ms Rashida Iddisah, said CAMFED provided the necessary support to girls and young women in and outside schools in their quest to become leaders and to reinvest the benefits of their education to improve the educational, economic and health status of their communities.

She said the objective of the district level celebration was to create a huge presence of CAMA and its activities
