Don’t fall for false prophecies — Pastor Osei Frimpong

A three-day convention of the Apostles’ Continuation Church International (ACCI) has ended in Accra, with a call on the congregation and the general public to be wary of the activities of false prophets.

The convention was on the theme: “Jesus our refuge.”

Sermon

In a sermon, the senior pastor of the Apostles’ Constinuation Church, Pastor Isaac Osei Frimpong, cautioned the congregation against chasing after “strange” prophesies and advised them to relinquish their love for same as such prophets engaged in neo-paganism, idol worship and witchcraft.

“If you go to any church and you are given crazy prophesies, just walk out because that church has gone astray; they have nothing good to offer you,” he said.

Quoting John 14:27-29, he said: “Nobody is in the position to give you peace. Happiness and peace is not found in money, pleasure, military glory, fame, position and political power but in Christ Jesus alone.”

Quoting Proverbs 16:20, Pastor Osei Frimpong said the best and only way to get what one wanted was to pay heed to the instructions of God.

He further called on every ‘unbeliever’ to accept Jesus Christ, adding that, “He is a very precious man but it is not difficult knowing him once you avail yourself.”

Christmas message

In an interview, the head pastor of the Dansoman branch of the church, Rev. Ebenezer Yeboah, encouraged the act of sharing as a way to show love and affection to one another.

“I want to tell everybody who has been graced with the means to extend a hand to the less privileged in society just as Christ admonishes us to do in the Bible,” he said.

He further advised the church to live in moderation in order not to infringe on the safety and rights of others.
