The product, which is manufactured by Agri-Tecno Company in Spain, enhances the growth of crops and ensures better yields in quantity and quality. It has been re-introduced after successfully undergoing testing and trials.

The General Manager of  the Agriculture Division of Dizengoff Ghana Limited, Dr Costanzo Garello, briefed the media on the product and said the company sought to promote the awareness of the benefits of organic fertilisers and to reduce the abuse of inorganic fertilisers on the market.

He explained that the abuse of inorganic fertilisers led to the consumption of unhealthy and sometimes dangerous produce from the markets.

The Director of Projects at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Mrs Angela Dannson, said the product was being introduced at the time that the Ministry of Food and Agriculture was intensifying its efforts to achieve increased productivity of many crops.

Mrs Dannson said for health reasons, there was an increasing consumer demand for organic products that had been unmet.
