Communications Minister honoured ‘Digital Leader of the Year’

The Minister of Communications and Digitalisation, Mrs Ursula Owusu Ekuful, has been honoured with the Digital Leader of the Year award for her outstanding contribution to Ghana’s digital transformation.

This was at the 11th edition of the Ghana Information Technology and Telecom Awards (GITTA).

The GITTA awards, highly coveted in the telecommunication, information and communication technology (ICT) sector was instituted more than 11 years ago by InstinctWave to honour organisations and individuals in the Telecom and ICT space in Ghana and beyond.

Appreciation

Mrs Ekuful thanked the organisers for the honour and also commended industry players for their enormous contribution to the economy.

The Chief Executive Officer for InstinctWave, Mr Akin Naphtal, spoke highly of the contributions of industry players for their role in driving digitalisation.

“COVID-19 has shown us that after God comes technology, hence the need to celebrate industry players and organisations who are driving the digital agenda,” he stated.

In all 45 individuals and organisations won awards.
