Calvary Methodist Men’s Fellowship inaugurated
The Methodist Men’s Fellowship of the Calvary Methodist Church, Adabraka has elected a new executive committee to steer the affairs of the association for one year.

Inducting the new executive members into office at an induction service on Sunday, at the Calvary Methodist Church, the Superintendent Minister of the Accra North Circuit of the Methodist Church, Very Rev. Dr. Kwesi Arthur-Mensah said leadership in all strata of society and especially in the church was ordained by God ,which places a huge responsibility on the executive.
He said their lives must be outstanding and a true reflection of the Lord Jesus Christ who is the embodiment of Christian life and Christianity.
In a charge to the new officers, Mr Isaac Newton Kwofie, a past national president of the Association of Methodist Men’s Fellowship, urged the youth of the church who had attained age 25 and above to join the men’s fellowship to take up the mantle of leadership.
He said the average age of members of the men’s fellowship was not encouraging as most of them were over 55 years, whilst a lot of potential members preferred to remain in the youth fellowship for reasons difficult to fathom.
Mr Kwofie admonished the members of the fellowship to set good examples and engage in programmes that would attract the young men in the church.
The new executive of the fellowship is under the chairmanship of Mr Kofi Saah Addison with Mr Louis Turkson as the Vice-Chairman and Mr Osei Kwame as the Immediate Past Chairman. Others include Mr Frank Bodja, Secretary; Mr Daniel Afedzi as Assistant Secretary and Mr Andrew Ekow Smith, Organising Secretary.
The induction was supervised by officials from the Accra North Circuit of the Men’s Fellowship including Mr Ken Arthur, Vice-Chairman, Mr Kweku Sersah-Johnson, Organising Secretary as well as Squadron Leader Ben Azariah (retd) , Past National President of the association.
