All Souls Baptist Church Choir inaugurated

All Souls Baptist Church Choir in Kumasi has been inaugurated to help in evangelisation through song ministration.

The choir was formed in 2012 and currently has a numerical strength of 25.

The cost of the choir robes used for the dedication is estimated at GH¢1,800.

The Kumasi North Area Chairman of the Baptist Church, Rev Yaw Konadu-Yiadom, who was assisted by his Vice-Chairman, Rev James Bugbil, to dedicate and inaugurate the choir, asked the choristers to be time conscious, patient and obedient in the course of duty.

He asked them to abide by the rules and regulations of the choir, strive for the best and aim at singing to win souls for the church and for Christ Jesus.

In a sermon preached to climax the ceremony, the Chairman of the Bantama Baptist Zone, Rev Eric Kwasi Mfum, said songs were important in Christianity.

He advised the choristers to eschew indecency in their dressing, saying that not only were choir robes “decent and unique” but they also signified dignity and honour.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Christ the King of Kings International School, Bohyen, Mr John Kofi Atta, chaired the dedication and inauguration ceremony.
