Agbogbloshie gang leader remanded for possessing fire arm and ammunition

40 year old Mujeed Ibrahim, a scrap dealer has been put before an Accra circuit court for allegedly possessing fire arm and ammunition.

Ibrahim was left behind at the crime scene by his accomplice.

He pleaded not guilty to charges and was remanded by the court presided over by Mr. Aboagye Tandoh to appear before court on March 4.

Prosecuting, Inspector Samuel Ahiabor told the court that on February 18, 2019 about 8:30 pm, the Ayos group led by Ibrahim at large went to attack another group over make shift structures, they sleep in at Agbogbloshie.

 He said suspect succeeded in causing damage to some wooden structures and a motorbike belonging to Achiri Shaibu a resident at Agbogbloshie.

The prosecutor added that the police proceeded to the scene due to a distress call which was placed which restored calmness and in the process arrested the accused.

He said a search conducted on him revealed one CESKA Zbrojovka pistol No. 114453 loaded with eight (8) rounds of 9mm ammunition.
